DAY 01
Arrive at the airport and transfer to Talangama.
In the evening engage in some birding along the Talangama lake for some Watercocks,
Yellow Bitterns and Black Bitterns.

DAY 02, 03, 04
Transfer to Bodhinagara Forest Reserve and look out for the Sri Lankan Hanging Parrot, Sri
Lankan Grey Hornbill, Green billed-Concul and Yellow-fronted Barbet. Afterwards proceed
to Sinharaja Rainforest.
Over the next couple of days discover Red faced Malkoha, Sri Lanka Blue Magpie, White
face Starling and Scaly Thrush among some of the 42 individual birds that occur in a flock.
Also look out for the Chesnut backed-owlet and theSerendib Scops Owl.

DAY 05, 06
Afterwards proceed to the Kelani Valley Forest Reserve close to Kitulgala and watch out
for the Sri Lanka Myna, Green billed Concul, Spot–winged Thrush, Sri Lanka Blue Magpie,
Sri Lanka Spurfowl, Brown capped Babbler and the Red faced Malkoha. Also look out for
the Serendib Scops Owl.
Overnight – Kitulgala Resthouse
DAY 07, 08
In the morning drive to Victoria Park in Nuwara Eliya and watch out for the Himalayan
migrants Kashmir Flycatcher, Indian Blue Robin, Pied Thrush Indian Pitta. Yellow eared
Bulbul, Sri Lankan Hill White-eye and Dull blue Flycatcher can also be seen here.
Afterwards proceed to Ohiya.
On the next day morning proceed to Horton Plains National Park in search of the Sri Lanka
Whistling Thrush, Sri Lanka Bush Warbler and the Wood Pigeon.

DAY 09, 10
Take the train in the morning from Ohiya to Kandy and transfer to Hunas Falls.
During the next day watch out for the Chestnut backed-owlet, Brown capped Babbler,
Brown Fish Owl, Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher and Alexandrine Parakeet.

DAY 11
Drive back to Colombo and enjoy a city tour along with some last minute shopping.
