Wildlife Photography - 10 Nights / 11 Days

DAY 01

Arrive at the airport and transfer to Colombo.
In the evening engage in educational wildlife photography session with Mark Forbes to learn how to use the camera, capture the wildlife moments, etc
Overnight at – Colombo City Hotel

DAY 02

Take the train going into Kandy and get off from Peradeniya. Engage in a photography session inside the Peradeniya Botanical Garden of the beautiful trees and flowers which would rehearse you in capturing the still moments before you start photographing moving targets.

DAY 03, 04

Proceed to Nuwara Eliya and drive to the top of Pidurutalagala mountain – the highest peak in Sri Lanka, capturing the beauty of nature along the way. Watch out for the elusive leopards as well.
On the next day visit the Horton Plains National Park and go to the World’s End. Watch out for the not so shy Sambur Deer.
Overnight – Acacia Inn

DAY 05, 06

In the morning drive to Deniyaya and in the evening do a nature trail close to the hotel. On the next day venture deep into the Sinharaja rainforest and photograph the waterfalls, birds, the bio-diversity, etc
Overnight – Rainforest Ecolodge

DAY 07

Drive to Udawalawe and and engage in a big game drive and witness many herds of elephants and this would be the time for you to capture the giants of Earth close up to your lens.
Overnight – Wild Trails, Udawalawe

DAY 08, 09

Next day drive to Yala and in the evening engage in a jeep safari. On the next day take a full day big game drive in the Yala national park in search of leopards, sloth bears, wild elephants, spotted deer, wild boar, water buffaloes, etc.
Overnight – Magampura Resort

DAY 10

Drive to Wadduwa and relax next to the Indian Ocean
Overnight – Taprobana Wadduwa

DAY 11

Departure to the airport
