DAY 01
Upon arrival transfer to Colombo and experience a tour around the city.
Overnight – Colombo City Hotel
DAY 02
Take the early morning train from Colombo and arrive in Jaffna just in time for lunch. Visit
the Jaffna Fort and Nallur Kovil in the evening.

DAY 03, 04
Early morning take a ferry into Delft Island. Delft is one of the lost paradises of Sri Lanka. It’s the only place in Sri Lanka where one can see Wild Horses. Then you will witness wader bird flocks in their thousands. At one time over 10,000 waders were recorded in one flock. Spend the next three days inside the Delft Island (very basic accommodation)
DAY 05
Return back to the main land and witness some of the monuments in Jaffna such as Nagadeepa Temple, Naga Pooshani Amman Kovil, Nilavarai bottomless well, etc Overnight – Tilko City Hotel
DAY 06
Early in the morning check out from Jaffna and travel to Mannar via the Sangapitti bridge. Once you pass the bridge you will see lots of Eagles sitting on top of lamp posts on either side of the road – The Eagle’s Drive. Journey to Mannar for the over night. Overnight – Hotel Ahash
DAY 07, 08
On the next two days, during early morning hours visit the Vankalai Sanctuary to witness
many birds such as Flamingos, spot billed-ducks, comb duck, Gadwall, Long-toed Stint,
Peregrine Falcon, Common ringed Plover, Temminck’s Stint, Red-necked Phararope,
Crested Turns and many more.
During the day also visit the Mannar Fort, Arripu Fort, Dorric House, Adam’s Bridge, etc
DAY 09
Drive down to Negombo and relax the day before your departure on the following day. In the evening enjoy a boat ride in the Muthurajawela Marsh to witness some amazing bird life.
DAY 10
Departure to the airport
